The Planning Commission is a 10 member recommending body to the Sapulpa City Council. The Commission hears cases on planning issues, including zoning map amendments, platting, zoning code amendments, comprehensive plan updates, annexations, and other related planning issues.
All planning and zoning applications, must go before the Planning Commission for review. After review and public input, the Planning Commission makes a recommendation to the City Council for final action.
When an application is filed, staff publishes official public notice (when notice is required) and informs nearby residents. Staff then reviews appropriate plans and development policies to formulate a report for the board. This process generally takes 6 - 8 weeks.
